“In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;” (Ephesians 1:7).
Spiritual truth is beyond the realm of mere human intellect. If you attempt to discover the meaning of spiritual truth, from a spiritual book, without being born-again spiritually you will simply flounder in the cesspool of hopeless philosophy and worldly wisdom. You may gain some intellectual insight but your uncircumcised heart will never really comprehend the full measure of His redemption, forgiveness, and grace through Christ Jesus our Lord. As a believer who is indwelt with the Holy Spirit you now have His ability, His understanding, and His perception. You can know the promises of God. What a great privilege is this!
Do you know His redemption?
We who were once the enemy of God as a result of our sin, who could not touch the mind of God, who had no desire for the things of God, are now purchased with the precious blood of our Redeemer. “Redeemed how I love to proclaim it, redeemed by the blood of the Lamb!” The debt is paid in full!
Do you know His forgiveness?
Unlike you and me who may forgive those who have trespassed against us but remember the hurt or grief the offense has brought, He has released our sin—never to be remembered again. The filthy stain of sin has been thoroughly washed and cleansed in the blood of Christ. Removed! Buried in the sea of God’s forgetfulness!
Do you know the riches of His grace?
Do you know the grace that never loses its power and eternal effectiveness? Do you know that grace? Grace is not earned by our pious behavior. Grace is not earned by the works of righteousness which we have done. Grace is ours in full measure because the very person of grace became flesh, died for our sins, was buried, rose again on the third day, ascended to the Heavens, and is seated at the right hand of the Father—above all principality, power, dominion, and might. Christ is the essence of grace and Christ is in us. Grace is yours, believer!
