Are you looking?
“Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;” (Titus 2:13).
The daily and constant gaze upon the Saviour is a challenge for each of us. This mortal life of ours demands so much regular attention and requires so much care that the Lord Jesus Christ is often tucked away in the chamber of our forgetfulness. This ought not to be, dear friend. Will you purpose today to be looking for our blessed hope? Will you set your gaze upon and turn your thoughts to Christ? Will you anticipate His return?
Look upon the Saviour in faith today. See His glory, His truth, His love, and His power. Bask in His beauty, His holiness, and His splendor. Rejoice in His forgiveness for your sins and His abounding and undeserved grace. Look upon Jesus and revive your soul. Look upon Jesus and renew your mind. Look upon Jesus and remember. Some glorious day this corruptible body will put on incorruption. Keep looking for that blessed hope. Keep looking to Jesus.
