”But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away” (Isaiah 64:6).
Even our best. The things we consider righteous are as filthy rags. God is holy. God is righteous. He is pure. He is perfect. Do your best! It is still way short.
A Christian who believes they can achieve sinless behavior as a mortal is deceived and does not understand Scripture. Arrogant and self-righteous. This finite and corruptible flesh will one day be changed. Transfigured. Until then, we glorify Christ. We exalt Him. We adore Him. We praise Him. He has made us acceptable. He has imputed His righteousness.
