There is a Reason

What did Job learn from his suffering? “I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee” (Job 42:5). The last chapter gives us some insight.

Through the years of his life, he had heard about God and His power. But now through severe trial. Through suffering. Through loss. Job saw God with eyes of understanding.

Job confessed and believed: “I know that thou canst do every thing, and that no thought can be withholden from thee” (Job 42:2). He knew God in a deeper more intimate and personal way. Yes, a trial is grievous. It’s difficult. We’ed all rather go through life with ease and good. But God knows. He is in control. He has a plan. He writes the final chapter!
