”What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid” (Romans 6:15). To me, this seems like such a simple question. Should we now sin freely since we are under grace? Do we honestly say, “Oh boy, I’ve got a divine permission slip to sin freely. To enjoy a sinful lifestyle.”
No, no, no! This is so basic. So elementary. You actually show your immaturity in the faith if you feel it necessary to always remind other believers that grace is not a license to sin. Of course it’s not. Some will certainly not understand grace and will use it as an excuse to sin. But avoid lumping all who love and teach grace as abusers of grace.
The knowledge of His grace actually constrains me to love, follow, and obey Christ. But when I do not, and when I sin, well, there it is. Grace!
