Lord, help us believe. “And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith” (Luke 17:5). “Without faith, it is impossible to please God.”

Fear–respect, reverence, and awe of God is the beginning of wisdom. Fools despise wisdom. Fools despise instruction. “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction” (Proverbs 1:7).

“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you” (James 4:7). Resist the devil by submitting to and pursuing God. As we draw nigh to God in faith, through Scripture, and prayer, the spontaneous and natural result is resisting the devil.
