Wisdom

Fear–respect, reverence, and awe of God is the beginning of wisdom. Fools despise wisdom. Fools despise instruction. “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction” (Proverbs 1:7).

Draw Nigh

“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you” (James 4:7). Resist the devil by submitting to and pursuing God. As we draw nigh to God in faith, through Scripture, and prayer, the spontaneous and natural result is resisting the devil.
