Think!

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are

true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things ” (Philippians 4:8).

Let’s make this real simple and straight forward. Think on Christ

! He fulfills, manifests, reveals, embodies, empowers, provides, and produces each attribute mentioned in this verse. Get Christ and you get it all.

Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you” (Philippians 4:9).

Any casual Bible student will clearly see that Jesus Christ was Paul’s life. What have we learned, received, heard, and seen from Paul? Christ ! Seek, know, and love Him today and everyday.

Are you a preacher? Preach Christ. Are you a teacher? Teach Christ. Are you a singer? Sing Christ.  Without Christ you can do nothing. Without Christ your preaching, teaching, or singing is powerless!

Matthew 28:18 can’t be any clearer. “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.”

    Forrest,

Thanks again for the truth. Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 2:2 that he only knew Christ and Him crucified. That is what we should be doing with all of our abilities that God has given us.

    Preach on Brother.

That’s why I love John 15 so much. This scripture has taught me that I am absolutely nothing and He is absolutely everything. When we are DISABLED we learn that He is ABLE. When we truly know our complete INABILITY we discover His measureless ABILITY. I simply abide in the True Vine, soak up the Son, trust the care of the Divine Husbandman, and yield fruit!
