Love…is not easily provoked

Love is not quickly stirred with anger. When we possess “genuine” love, we display kindness, gentleness, patience, and calmness. Love does not explode with anger when others mistreat or misuse us. Nor is it provoked to sudden anger when others fail to say or do what we think they should be saying or doing.

Jesus Christ is our example, “Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously:” (1 Peter 2:23).
