Nothing More is Required

How do we know if we border legalism? If we are not contented with Christ. Striving, laboring, working, and driven in an effort to become a more complete Christian. To ease our conscience. To remove guilt. To feel accepted by God.

Christ has completed us. Christ has satisfied the Heavenly Father. Are we to be obedient? Committed to His truth? Absolutely! But never to complete or finish what Jesus has already accomplished.

What then? Let the power and beauty of His sacrifice constrain, compel, and inspire us to walk pleasing of Him. To follow Him with our whole heart. To love Him with all our might. Because we are COMPLETE in Him. Because He has enabled us. Because He has equipped us. Because we are new.

“And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:” (Colossians 2:10).
