Open My Eyes!

Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts

” (Isaiah 6:5).

In Isaiah 6:1 we read “…I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.” The Heavenly vision humbled Isaiah and brought spontaneous confession. “Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips

.”

And what brought this response? “…mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts.” That is enough, beloved. Endeavor to see the Lord Jesus Christ in the pages of the Holy Bible and purpose to know Him if you would be clean. As you grow in His grace and in the knowledge of Him you will see His glory, His holiness, His righteousness, and His power.

Can we then stand with pride and satisfaction? Can we see our self as good achievers of great things? No, when we truly glimpse His majestic beauty we will relent in humble submission. We will see no glory in ourselves. We will find no cleanliness in our lips. We will find that we are undone without Him.

But with Him, dear friend, we find complete satisfaction. We discover freedom and victory from the bondage of sin. With Christ we rest from our labors. With Christ we bear fruit, more fruit, and much fruit. Christ alone. Mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts! Have yours?
