Life is Christ

For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain” (Philippians 1:21).

Is my life Christ? This probing question uncovers the sincerity and the depth of our relationship with Him. Is there enough evidence in our words and deeds to label us as lovers of Jesus Christ? I am not compelling us to develop a better or more disciplined “quiet time” in the early morning hours. Nor am I giving another “success” formula. No! I am suggesting to you that life itself can become a quiet time. “For me to live is Christ.” That’s life for a Christian, isn’t it?

encouraging you to become more focused on the process, procedure, principle, plan, or program. I am directing you to love the person of the Lord Jesus Christ. Know Him through the written word of God. Walk with Him in faith. Think on Him throughout the day and evening. Talk with Him often through the great privilege of prayer.

This growing relationship will result in more Christ-likeness. Spontaneously and naturally He will become your very life. Then with Paul the Apostle, we too will say, “For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.” Christ is my life.
