” (Isaiah 9:6).

How very special are those words? “For unto us….” I am praying that the joy of the Lord will be upon each of you as you ponder these three words: “For unto us….” Unto those who fall short of His glory, unto those that wander aimlessly and hopelessly in darkness, unto those who live in separation and enmity with God—a child is born. Unto us! Do you rejoice in this great gift? Do you understand this great love and this great privilege? Have you received this immeasurable gift by faith?

A child was born that has changed everything. Jesus gives hope to the hopeless, peace to the troubled, and love to the sinner. Jesus is qualified to bring life to all who believe in and receive Him. Jesus forgives, cleanses, and redeems. He sanctifies, reconciles, secures, and assures. Through faith in Jesus, God has made me His child, and if a child, then an heir. He declares me just even though I’m not. He says in Him I am made the righteousness of God. He has made me acceptable with God. Think on this undeserved and amazing gift. In Christ, I have life.

As we remember and reflect on both the Biblical and historical fact that a child was born and a son was given, let us glory in God’s great gift to humankind. Let us exalt, praise, and worship Jesus, the Christ! Let us purpose to know, love, and follow Him!

One Response to “Unto Us!”

Thank you again for this great reminder. We have been adopted into His great family. What a marvelous act of His Grace and Mercy. What a wonderful gift to be like Jesus. We do not deserve this great gift. His mercy is forever. Take care.

    In our prayers daily,
Hope to see you soon. I enjoyed our visit last Tuesday.
