Each day is opportunity. “See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is” (Ephesians 5:15-17). Be watchful. Be diligent.

“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid” (John 14:27). Words matter. Notice Christ not only gives us peace. But He said, “my peace.” His peace is genuine. Lasting. Life changing.

“Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men’s bones, and of all uncleanness” (Matthew 23:27). “That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;” (Ephesians 4:22-23). The Christian life demands some action! “…put off….” We obtain wisdom and strength by renewing our mind. In with the new, out with the old!

Remember this, believer. Don’t forget! “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8).
